AO Safety 95190 Woodworker's Respirator

AO Safety 95190 Woodworker's Respirator

AO Safety 95190 Woodworker's Respirator
From AO Safety

The AOSafety woodworker's respirator weighs less than five ounces and features a soft rubber face piece with two exhalation valves to make breathing comfortable and easy. Ideal for woodworking projects, this mask is also recommended for protection when working with plastic, metal, fiberglass, or drywall. The N95 filters are easy to clean and disassemble, making filter replacement a snap.

My allergic self has a tough time with dust, even though I like home DIY projects and woodworking. I've tried a couple of disposable masks, while blanching at the cost of the various powered respirators. I bought this one based on the reviews, and couldn't be happier. I have a large, Charlie Brown-sized head, AND a beard, and the mask fits comfortably. I wear it for extended periods of time, and, other than feeling a bit like a minor player in a Star Wars cantina, I don't mind it. I also wear safety glasses much of the time, on top of my prescription glasses, and everything fits. On my most recent sawing adventure, long, dusty cuts in MDF didn't leave me with the little nagging cough I use to experience for a week afterward.

If you hate sucking in sawdust, it's hard to beat this thing, especially at this price point. I buy it from Store

Peltor H10A Professional Noise Canceling Earmuff

Peltor H10A Professional Noise Canceling Earmuff

Peltor H10A Professional Noise Canceling Earmuff

Peltor's dual cup patented Twin Cup design minimizes resonance achieving maximum high and low frequency attuation. This patented design provides the highest noise reduction rating for an earmuff tested in an approved laboratory. The H10A provides effective, lightweight, comfortable protection for noise levels up to 105 dB. CSA Class AL

Am I glad I got these ear muffs or what! I work in San Diego and nearby is an airforce base. Continuously during the day, helicopters and jet planes fly overhead. Added to that, my annoying co-worker stretches and yawns, pops sunflower seeds into his mouth and makes weird chewing noises and is responsible for miscellaneous sounds. I did try the Bose sound canceling headphones once, but they gave me headaches. These earmuffs worked just as other reviewers raved about. An added bonus was that the keyboard noises were also reduced significantly. For the price, these things should be mandatory in most offices with shared cubicles!

great design and great quality

I recently bought a zero-turn mower and found that having the engine right behind me was LOUD! so I did an exhaustive search and found these hearing protector/ stereo headphones. If I had just bought headphones I wouldn't even be able to hear the music and if I'd just bought a hearing protector I'd probably go mad talking to myself for an hour while I mow...so this product was perfect for my needs. Fits snug, really blocks the mower noise, FM reception is great and the stereo sounds excellent.
